Where did the weekend go??

It has been a wonderful weekend! One of my two quilting societies (be a member of two, and double the fun...) arranged a gathering for the whole region of Sogn og Fjordane on Sunday. This wonderful little wallhanging has been made by Elna, a very talented member of the group.

An hour or so before midnight Sunday evening: a cup of tea and some bread and relaxation. This is Hanne and me by my kitchen table. We are tired, but happy! I was so lucky to be her hostess the last evening of her stay here in Nordfjord. We had never met before face to face,
only by blog and mail, but that was not a problem at all. We have many things in common besides the passion for blocks and fabrics and all that stuff.
Hanne is making preparations before her lecture on Dear Jane. She made it so well, and spellbound the audience on her journey with Dear Jane since the start in 2000. As there was no time for an ordinary workshop during these hours of the gathering, she generously shared her experiences to those who were interested after her speech. A wonderful person!

And here is my grand aunt child, Sara Josefine, at her first quilting gathering! I simply had to take a picture of her in the wonderful knitted clothes and blanket. There has been a busy grandmother, I guess...
And by the way, I simply have to make her a little quilt for the cradle, don't you agree?

Here I'm holding this tiny, sweet girl for the first time. And as she was sleeping, I think I did well..
Gamletanta held her sitt grantantebarn nr. 20 for første gong. STAS!

A generous present to me from Hanne! Who has told that woman that I prefer repros? Have I ever told anyone??? Well, there were 14 different pieces, prewashed and ironed and nicely bounded together. And in addition, some other supplies a quilter needs, a nice thread cutter, some very small pins a DJ maker just has to have and also a gluestick. Do I need to tell my reaction?

SYND AT DENNE HELGA SKULLE HA EIN TIME MINDRE!

Elin, Sounds you had such a special weekend. Isn't it great when that happens. Those fabrics are beautiful! I see many more Civil War and DJ blocks in your future. I hope your week is just as nice. Love Stacy
